William J. Lieberbaum serves as Georgia Direct Counsel for the Atlanta National Commercial Services operation. Bill joined the Atlanta NCS in 2017 but has been in the title industry since 1987. For over 20 years as a partner at Slutzky, Wolfe & Bailey, he represented national companies and regional developers in the acquisition and development of commercial real estate throughout the country. This included the preparation and negotiation of contracts, commercial leases, reciprocal easement agreements, and loan documents, as well as advising clients in all types of developmental issues such as government permitting processes, environmental concerns, zoning matters, and title and survey issues. Bill has also been an agent for several national title insurance companies in numerous commercial transactions ranging between $1 million and $100 million including regional malls, hotels, hospitals, strip centers and office buildings.

Working in private practice my entire career has taught me the importance of solving title problems, not just identifying them. I am always searching for creative ways to resolve issues, so all parties in the transaction can feel comfortable moving forward.

Bill has been a speaker at various state-wide and national legal seminars on topics such as due diligence, restaurant leasing and development, and the role of title insurance in the foreclosure process.

Bill graduated magna cum laude from Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts in History, and earned his J.D. from Tulane University. He has two adult children and lives in Marietta, Georgia. Bill and his wife, Jenifer, have enjoyed extensive travel around the world.
